Our Dog Ankle Brace is Veterinarian Requested!
The Hock Holder dog hock brace was designed to support and stabilize the hock joint, which is the dog equivalent of the ankle. This ankle brace was initially requested by one of our favorite veterinarians. He had asked us to design a soft dog hock brace to support the ankle of one of his canine patients. The resulting brace has helped his patient a lot, and we couldn’t be happier to reproduce it for all dogs needing mobility support.
The hock joint is on the dog’s back or hind leg below the knee and corresponds to the ankle on a human.

For a Good Fit, Weigh Your Pup
Before you can purchase an Ortho Dog Hock Holder, you will need to weigh your dog to determine if the hock brace will fit. This will inform what size wrap to order. No further measurements are needed.
Medium: 25 – 60 pounds
Large: 60-100 pounds
How to Put on the Hock Holder
The Hock Holder ankle brace is designed to overlap around the dog’s leg for stability and can be worn during the day and taken off at night.
To fit the Hock Holder, simply wrap the neoprene brace around the hock joint on the back leg and fasten securely with the two Velcro straps. The hock joint fits into the hole in the middle of the brace.
